A delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Industry conducted a field visit to the Damascus Fairgrounds this evening to inspect the final preparations for NASTEX 2026 ahead of the exhibition’s opening.

The visit was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Engineer Basel Abdel Hanan, alongside Fadi Al-Ahmad, founder of NASTEX and Chairman of its Higher Committee.

The delegation toured several areas of the exhibition to review the progress of the remaining work, assess the organizational and technical readiness of the venue, and follow up on the final stages of preparation before the official opening.

The tour included exhibitors’ stands, event platforms and the Business Hub.

The delegation also reviewed the logistical arrangements and services prepared to receive visiting delegations and members of the public, ensuring that all requirements were being completed in accordance with the approved organizational plan.

The visit forms part of the ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the organizing committee of NASTEX 2026.

It reflects the importance of the exhibition and its role in supporting the textile sector and related industries, while strengthening cooperation between government institutions and the private sector.

NASTEX 2026 is scheduled to open on Saturday, July 18, with broad participation from local and international companies.

The exhibition will also feature a diverse program of panel discussions and specialized activities aimed at supporting the textile industry and promoting investment opportunities and business partnerships.
