The Damascus Fairgrounds is preparing to host NASTEX 2026, held under the patronage of President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmad al-Sharaa, from July 18 to 21, with the participation of industrial, investment and technology institutions, as well as delegations from Syria and abroad.
The exhibition introduces a model that goes beyond the conventional trade-fair format by bringing together industrial technology, textile value chains, financing, exports and innovation within one integrated platform.
NASTEX 2026 will feature large-scale pavilions dedicated to apparel, home furnishings and furniture, with broad participation from Syrian and international exhibitors representing different segments of the textile industry.
The event is designed to connect manufacturers, investors, technology providers, suppliers, distributors and decision-makers, creating opportunities for commercial cooperation, industrial partnerships and investment across the textile value chain.
A Business Platform for Investment and Partnerships
The exhibition includes a dedicated Business Hub, featuring bilateral business meetings and a specialised area for investment discussions and potential deals.
This platform will allow participating companies, investors, business councils and economic delegations to explore opportunities, exchange expertise and discuss partnerships in manufacturing, technology, financing, exports and market access.
Alongside the exhibition floor, NASTEX will present a programme of panel discussions addressing digital transformation, textile value chains, export strategies, international industry experiences and investment opportunities.
The sessions will also explore approaches to preserving Syria’s textile heritage and transforming traditional knowledge and craftsmanship into contemporary products and brands capable of reaching regional and international markets.
Heritage, Silk and Syrian Textile Week
NASTEX 2026 will host dedicated areas for Syrian textile heritage and natural silk, highlighting the cultural and industrial journey of textiles from traditional craftsmanship to modern production.
The programme also includes a number of initiatives connected to the launch of Syrian Textile Week, which seeks to strengthen the relationship between textiles, Syrian cultural identity and the country’s productive economy.
Through these initiatives, the exhibition aims to present textile production not only as an industrial sector, but also as an essential part of Syria’s history, craftsmanship and cultural memory.
Four Days of International Activities
The opening ceremony is expected to welcome official, economic and diplomatic representatives, as well as international delegations, investors and textile industry leaders.
Over four days, the exhibition will host industrial and technological showcases, investment meetings, panel discussions and specialised activities covering the different stages of textile production and trade.
By combining commercial exhibitions, investment opportunities, advanced technologies, business networking and cultural heritage, NASTEX 2026 seeks to establish Damascus as an international meeting point for the textile industry and a platform for cooperation between Syrian companies and global markets.
