NASTEX 2026 welcomed a high-level Libyan delegation led by businessman and Member of the Libyan House of Representatives Mohamed Al-Raeid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Libya.
The visit took place as part of the official delegations attending the exhibition to support economic cooperation and strengthen engagement with Arab markets.
During the visit, the Libyan delegation toured the exhibition pavilions and reviewed the latest industrial technologies, production lines and advanced solutions presented by Syrian and international companies across the different stages of the textile value chain.
The delegation also examined products reflecting Syria’s industrial capabilities and the extensive experience accumulated by its textile sector.
Expanding Economic Cooperation Between Syria and Libya
The visit comes amid growing interest in expanding economic cooperation between Syria and Libya, particularly in productive and industrial sectors.
NASTEX provides a platform that brings together manufacturers, investors, technology providers and government institutions, with the aim of transforming direct meetings into practical partnerships and implementable projects.
During the tour, the Libyan delegation held meetings with industrialists and participating companies.
The discussions addressed opportunities for trade and investment cooperation, as well as prospects for developing relations between private-sector institutions in both countries.
Such cooperation could contribute to increasing trade, supporting supply chains and opening new markets for industrial products.
The Importance of Mohamed Al-Raeid’s Participation
